Other people are not an answer to your sadness. You gotta build yourself up and keep going no matter how bad things get! You don't need someone to be happy, you don't need someone to solve your problems. You can do these things yourself, it's harder but it's possible! :D You'll find you'll be way way way happier once you give up on the idea of someone coming along and sweeping you off your feet.
